I know its late but it was a work in the making My Freshman Year
My freshman year was one for the books one to remember for the rest of my life. Never have I been thru more change within my life within a years time. I have grown so much over this past year for various reasons. I can remember when I first hit campus I already knew a few people and that changed quickly. Me and my roommate jay r moved in a day late on a Sunday and once we finally moved in and got our good byes with our family in we went back to our room only to hear music playing and went into the hall way and there we met the rest of our floor mates and from that moment forward a family was formed. One door down was jar’mon and corey aka co-man who was from Jackson beside them was tim and frank, tim was from yazoo city and frank was from Hattiesburg. One door down was jb and t seed aka tc and they are from sumtner county. Next was hogg and nicos two country boys one from natchez and one from tchula. Then across the hall was chris and theriton wells aka lil b or boo man these were two city boys from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We instantly formed a clique planning on overtaking the campus and raiding it with a storm. And that we did we were instantly known throughout the freshman class and some upper classmen. We went out meeting new people everyday and after a while people wanted to know who we were. We all were making a name for ourselves and this was not new to some of us because we were known for being the big dog/classclown from our high school. The first week was just free time class didn’t start til that Wednesday. And it was crazy I can remember my first day in class it was good. psychology was good had a excellent teacher and math was super funny I went in being the class clown I knew I was and acted foolish but did my work and within the next few minutes I was sleep… .. Thursday came around and I had English and biology. English was cool me and t had class together and it was cool got to meet everyone and there was one person who really caught my eye and that was this chick by the name of mahogany she was from hernando. She was light skinned quite thick with kinki twists and a beautiful smile. we will talk bout her more later. Later on that night was club night and we went to the palace and it was jumpin the whole clique was in there click tight that’s all we knew for the moment. I can remember not having enough money to get in and jb gave me ten to get in and that was crazy cuz here we were jus meeting eachother and this man was lending me money or giving me money like we knew eachother for a good minute. From that moment I knew he was down. Time rolled on and I think my birthday was the first to come around and I had turned 18 and we all decided we would go out to eat and then go bowling and that we did. I think about 50 people showed up to eat and that was amazing because I only knew about ten people before time. I sat and ate with ladybug at a table while everyone sat around I think there was some animosity within the gathering but everyone stayedcool out of respect for me. Everyone showed love for my birthday and my boys paid for my food and that’s when I realized I had some keepers for friends better yet brothers I almost couldn’t hold in my feelings cuz I felt like I had some down niggas that I could depend on and then they put money in my pocket. Afterwards we went to the bowling alley where about 30 more people showed up and showed me love. This was crazy all this was for me I lil country boy from mendenhall by way of Jackson. Later me and mahogany slid off to go bowl and that was good I got to learn more bout her and I think she let me win in the process….. lol only cuz it was my birthday. Lol….. Later I chilled with some of my old classmates from callaway they came thru and showed love I hadn’t really seen them much since I left that school in tenth grade and who I really wanted to she was breana she was someone who I cared for from way back when we had a history somewhat. She hadn’t changed much. But overall I enjoyed the night and knew from that point forward that I would enjoy life as a college student. Exactly two weeks later it was Theriton birthday and we wilded out for my boy well me and him went to this house party and did the thang. It was major we both had to be looked after by our homeboy chris and lets jus say I went for a dive in the fountain and it was somewhat refreshing. During the semester we continued to party and stay on our stuff we became more and more recognized but one day we decided to make a video mimicking pretty ricky’s video knocking the boots this video went world wide lol everyone watched and commented on it. This had to be one of the funniest moments of my freshman year. I had a moment where I ripped off my shirt and started slow winding this is when a lot of people realized I could really dance. Lets jus say we had our fifteen minutes of fame with that. The first semester became really saddening around the end because this was around the time whea me t jb and t seed were uncertain to whether or not we were coming back. Everyone was hoping and praying that this part of the 6th floor would come back so the semester was coming to a end and finals week was around the corner when one night I got a call from mahogany saying they had been evicted from the dorm. So me and my boys ran to the rescue me t jb t seed and tim. Bringing covers pillows and everything cuz about 10 girls were kicked out and staying within one hotel room. This was around the time I was making a push towards mahogany. And was in good graces with her. The girls evicted were all her friends there was aerial ozuzu, taylor, amber, nee nee, keke, Marianna, amy, ree ree, and some others. So once there they were saying that they were hungry so me t tseed jb and mahogany went to go get some sonic for everyone. Afterwards me and mahogany headed back while I dropped the rest off at the dorm. So once I got back I saw that rashad and jp had came in and after that it was a knock at the door and I answered and saw it was keshia (someone I tried to holla at) and from that point on knew that that night might not be one to remember so we played monopoly and other games and it was all good then someone had decided to play never have I ever. Bad mistake. Me and keshia had already been missing with each other thru out the night but no one paid attention so then humor became worse because we got heated and started throwing shots at eachother and bad went to worse and push come to shove I ended up messed up that night and she did also…. So I finished the semester on a bad note…. And was upset cuz I didn’t know whether I was coming back or not neither did theriton. So the break rolled around I found out that I would be coming back and theriton found out a few days before that he would… this was all fine and dandy so we were happy.
Second semester…. Second semester rolled around and my homie doug was new this was his first semester he was in texas for the first semester. So the semester came back around everyone was back except tim…. He had to go to basic training.. so new semester new beginnings right? Of course we had changed our outer appearance now… the floor was out to be fresh everyday and do more damge to the campus and get on more females than last semester and that we did. Everyday we rocked polo levi and American eagle or anything that looked good no more gym shorts and boots lol…. So that was that and I was doing things a lil different as far as females I was no longer gonna be in all these females faces and what not had to change that.. so I did… I had grown so much over one semester couldn’t continue to chase down girls or anything but rather them come to me .. okay February rolled around and it was nicos and jarmon birthday so we threw a house party…. One for the ages… this party was the best house party to come to Hattiesburg. Everyone had fun and Charles did a excellent job as a dj…. But by the end of the night it had turned into a freak fest almost… everyone most definitely wanted us to do a repeat of the party people talked bout it for weeks… now everyone was anticipating spring break and que delta… and as time came around people became more anxious and anxious and so did I it was my first one. Around this time we were getting new editions to the floor they weren’t new but they were beginning to hang around us more and more those three were jv, tk, and la. Two from Columbia and la was from Vicksburg they were not fast into hanging with us because they had to see what kind of people we were and they realized and saw that we were some cool dudes. So now we were all in full effect making the club jump.. and well as everything else. School was approaching an end and we were getting closer tryin to make more moves. So its que delta and it’s the date auction you know we all in there takin up a whole row. We all in there acting a donkey when t sends a text message saying that we gonna buy these two gurls as a joke so we did we ended up bidding against the football team and we won the bid and they told us to come claim our prize and so we did, about 30 of us ran up on the stage and it was so hilarious a moment never to be forgotten. The next day was the pool party and you know we had to be in there and so I had to steal a lil of the spotlight so I did with what I wore. Everyone was crackin up at the sight of me but hey that’s me I wouldn’t have been myself If I didn’t do some thing or act completely retarded….. so it was Thursday and it was the most anticipated night of que delta for the 6th floor becuz that night was the toga party. And it was live our homies from Jackson state came down and we got that bitch cracking everyone had on a toga besides me but hey I didn’t have on jus regular clothing neither you can say my top looked like I was auditioning to play in tarzan. But push come to shove the club was packed and we were jigging that night was crazy and we all did the damn thang…… 6thfloor and fly society collaboration killing the shit down in Hattiesburg. So after that night the rest of que delta was kinda slow but it was okay we made due with what we did do. So the rest of the year was about the same we did the same ole same ole for the most part. Which was cool we had made a name for ourselves and took the campus by storm. What more could you ask for. So this past week was finals and it was time to leave which was hard for me somewhat because those dudes are like my brothers and imma miss them fellas. And I know they feel like wise so Wednesday night we had a long azz talk about all the shit jus a real ass debate from females to life to jobs to god to jus anything you can think bout and we all hit on some real points but hey what do you expect it was the end of the year and we had to leave out some kind of way and we did. Thursday came I packed took my test and everything and it was time to say my final good byes before summer and I did I was happy to be thru with school but not happy to leave. But soon as school start in the fall me and my boys will be there once again reunited do foolish shit. USM better watch out…….

hAVE YOU EVER WONDERED WHY YOU SEARCH FOR LOVE? WHY DO YOU NEED IT? WELL MY ISSUE IS PUSHING THOSE AWAY THAT I LOVE CUZ O TRY TO FORCE IT UPON THEM I DONT MEAN IT BUT I FEEL SOMETIMES AS IF IM IN NEED OF LOVE. I DONT KNOW WHY THATS JUS HOW I FEEL EVERYONE NEEDS LOVE AND MAYBE I SEEK IT MORE THAN OTHERS I KNOW THAT THERE IS ONE OUT THERE FOR ME BUT WHEN WILL THAT DAY COME WHEN I FIND HER? WHEN WILL MY EMPTINESS CEASE? WHY DO I FEEL AN EMPTINESS? WILL LOVE REALLY COMPLETE ME OR WILL THE AFFECTION OF THE ONE I LOVE COMPLETE ME I WILL NEVER KNOW BUT I WISH I DIDNT TRY SO HARD AND ALLOWED LOVE TO FIND ME BUT WILL THAT HAPPEN!
